Easy Homemade Lotion

I found this recipe on Wellness Mama. I'm listing the ingredients I used from her recipe. You can go directly to her page to see all her info and whatnot, but I’ll share what I did anyway cuz it was slightly different.

Melt the Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Beeswax and Shea Butter in double boiler (took about 20 min). When oils, beeswax and butter are melted remove from the boiler. You’ll then added about 20 drops of each of the Vanilla, Wild Orange and Silver Fir oils and then with a milk frother or mixer, blend together (you can also use a blender if you’d like). Let lotion mixture sit over night or a few hours until it has completely cooled and solidified and then mix again with your mixer of choice. This will basically fluff up your lotion to make it creamier.

This stuff is for sure EXTRA moisturizing. If you have dry skin, this will do you good. You can also, of course, choose your oils for scent, or add no scent at all. She also mentions it has a shelf life of about 6 months because it was no water in it. (I’ve made a water based lotion before and I was really hoping this one worked out because the recipe I tried spoiled after a couple months living in super hot AZ temperatures, but this one should last much much longer!)

Good luck!
